Bitbooks is a powerful database that allows a writer to list a story, novel, poem, or other fictional work that they have written and link it to an excerpt on their website. As readers browse through  Bitbooks they are able to click on the link and go directly to the excerpt. Once they read your excerpt they then can rate it. A listing moves up in rank according to its popularity. A rating changes each time a reader rates it.  Listings that become popular receive special recognition and a bitbooks' ribbon can be pasted on the author's website.

WHAT RULES MUST BE FOLLOWED?

• Your link must point directly to an excerpt

• Bitbooks is a membership based service so you must place the Bitbooks Logo on each page

• You cannot charge visitors for reading an excerpt

• Only fiction excerpts of novels, stories and poetry are allowed
